Company video productions are ideal for capturing the character and feel of a business – especially if they’re all about people.
Benenden Group really understands the benefits of telling upbeat stories through video, and has commissioned Mandrill to make several films for its main company and its charitable trust.
Benenden’s national headquarters is in York, where it employs over 150 people and plays a really active part in supporting many of the city’s community groups. This video (above) profiles some of the groups who benefit from Benenden’s generosity, including the city’s athletic club, football club and York Pride.
CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS – Benenden Charitable Trust
Customer testimonial videos are one of the most powerful ways of telling the world about your great work. Benenden Charitable wanted to raise awareness of how it can relieve financial hardship and support medical treatments not available on the NHS or through Benenden memership.
83 year old John agreed to tell his moving story on camera. Putting it very simply, speedy support from the Benenden Trust gave him the treatment he needed to walk again. Filming took place at John’s home where he’s re-designing his garden and taking long walks with his dog Poppy.
COMPANY PROFILE VIDEOS – Keegan & Pennykid
Benenden commissioned company profile videos of family-run Keegan & Pennykid after the Edinburgh-based insurance brokers became part of the Benenden family.
Ken Pennykid founded the company in 1968. His wife, daughter, son-in-law and one year old grandson all took part in filming at the firm’s offices. The family were welcoming, open and honest – qualities which really come across on camera.
We were also keen to include a testimonial from one The Scottish Association for Mental Health. The charity is one of Keegan & Pennykid’s oldest customers. SAMH’s interim director of external affairs Jo Anderson praised the Pennykid family – not just for their professionalism in business, but their tireless personal support for SAMH. (Something they were too modest to mention themselves!)
Director June Pennykid said:
“This is the first time that Keegan & Pennykid has taken part in a film. Thanks to the professional approach of Chris and his cameraman Paul, the experience was both enjoyable and relaxed. The result of their efforts is a polished film which really captures the essence of who we are as a company. We couldn’t be more delighted with it and would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Mandrill Media.”
CHARITY CYCLE RIDE – Benenden Charitable Trust
When staff at Benenden and associated companies decided to tackle an ambitious 400 mile charity cycle ride – its charitable trust commissioned a series of videos to support the project.
Job one was to produce a series of video profiles of riders. The films would encourage sponsorship and raise awareness of the ride from the Chris Hoy velodrome in Glasgow to Benenden’s private hospital in Kent.
Five volunteers took part in filming. Their cycling experience was rich and varied. Alan Cameron is a veteran cyclists who practices weekly at the velodrome. Chris Cassidy hadn’t been on a bike since he was a child! We’ll be following the cyclists on their fund-raising marathon in September and producing a commemorative video of the whole event.
